Unilever voted best graduate employer

Unilever was voted the Number 1 graduate employer in the FMCG sector in the South African Graduate Recruiters Association (SAGRA) 2011 survey.

Durban, 15th June 2011: Unilever was voted the Number 1 graduate employer in the FMCG sector in the South African Graduate Recruiters Association (SAGRA) 2011 survey.  The company was also voted 4th overall in the Aspirational Employer of Choice category improving its ranking by four places from last year. KPMG was voted most Aspirational Employer.  

As part of the survey, Unilever also featured on the list of

  • Top 10 Best recruitment process
  • Top 10 for the best graduate recruitment brochure
  • Top 10 for the best graduate recruitment website
  • Top 10 for the best integrated graduate recruitment campaign

The company will be going to campuses around the country from July onwards to look for young enthusiastic talent as part of its 2011 graduate recruitment programme.

The annual SAGRA survey is conducted amongst 1,562 new or future employees from 81 organisations and is based on the graduate recruitment activities conducted the previous year (2010). The survey is done by an independent organisation and the criteria include candidate’s applications; job hunting techniques; factors which influence application and offer acceptance decisions and future plans of candidates.

Unilever is accredited as one of South Africa’s Best Employers. Earlier this month, 228 of Unilever’s factory based employees graduated with National Qualifications Framework –3 certificates. The company believes in investing in people and their learning, thereby helping them realise their potential.
